Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me."
Matthew 19:14On each of Second’s six campuses, there is a wall in the SecondKids area that is decorated with the handprints of children. After a child prays to receive Christ and meets with a pastor, a baptism date is set. As soon as possible after the scheduled baptism, the child is invited to place his/her handprint on the wall along with their first name and baptism date. It is a great visual and a clear testimony to the importance we place on children and our ministry to them and their families. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me” (Matthew 19:14) – and this verse was selected, along with a child’s handprint, as graphic representations of what the new Children’s Building will help us accomplish in the lives of the children who will attend school or church on this campus in the coming years.

Make Your Mark: Building the Next Generation is a two-year campaign to pledge and give $36.5 million to finance the construction of the new Children’s Building. Other provisions of the campaign include the demolition of the current F Building, the creation of additional parking spaces adjacent to the new building, and significant improvements to the first floor of A Building. The structural steel is now in place and is clearly visible against the skyline. With a projected completion date in mid-2023, this new building will better equip us to reach children and prepare them to “make a mark’’ on this and future generations.
